Russian manicure in Davie
Dry work with an e-file, no soaking, no cutting into living skin. One chair, one master — Irina, who judges international nail championships and does this every day. From $85, about an hour.
Book an appointmentWhat makes it different
An ordinary manicure softens the cuticle in water and trims it. Water swells the nail plate, so the work is done on a shape that will not exist an hour later — and the edge lifts as the nail dries and grows. A Russian manicure is done dry: the cuticle is lifted and cleaned with an e-file under magnification, exactly where the skin actually meets the nail.
That is the whole reason for the technique, and the only promise worth making about it: the set grows out clean. There is no ridge to catch on, and the regrowth looks like a longer manicure rather than a worn one.

Questions people actually ask
- What is a Russian manicure?
- A dry manicure done with an e-file instead of water. The cuticle is lifted and cleaned precisely under magnification, with no soaking and no cutting into live skin. Because the nail plate is not swollen with water, the work sits exactly where it will be tomorrow — which is why the edge stays clean as it grows out.
- How long does a Russian manicure last?
- A coated set lasts 4 to 6 weeks. Every coated manicure here carries a hard gel overlay — that is a property of the work, not an extra you choose. Clear, unpolished work is about the nail itself and is usually repeated every 3 to 4 weeks.
- Is a Russian manicure safe?
- It is safe when it is done by someone who does it every day and stops at living skin. Instruments are sterilized in an autoclave, one client one set, and the studio is a single chair — nothing is shared between people or hurried between them.
- How much does a Russian manicure cost in Davie?
- From $85 for clear work with no polish, $105 with hard gel in one colour, $125 for French tips and $135 with design. A men’s manicure is $85. The price is the whole service — there are no add-ons at the chair.
- How long does the appointment take?
- About an hour for clear work, two and a half hours for a coated set, three with design. The time is the work, not the queue: the studio takes one client at a time.
- Do you take walk-ins?
- No. It is a private one-chair studio and the day is booked by appointment, which is what makes the hour actually yours. Booking takes a minute on this site.
