Russian manicure & advanced pedicure · Davie
A Russian manicure is done dry: the skin around the nail is cleaned with a fine e-file — no soaking — so the colour sits flush and grows out clean for three to four weeks. If you have read that an e-file ruins nails: in the wrong hands it does. Irina works the skin and leaves the plate itself alone — more than five years of it, at competition standard.

Before you book
To a file, dead skin and living tissue are the same thing. In the careless hands of an untrained tech it leaves grooves in the plate, opens the seal around the nail and keeps the skin sore for weeks. The complaint is fair — but it is a complaint about the person holding the file. Everyone who works here is trained for this.
They said the cuticle grows back faster and tougher after an e-file.
What grows back tougher is skin that has been cut — an injury heals into scar. The file takes only what is already dead: the pterygium off the plate and the dry rim around it. The living cuticle is left exactly where it is, because it is your seal against fungus and bacteria.
They said an e-file leaves grooves in the nail.
A groove is a mistake by the technician: wrong bit, wrong angle, wrong speed. Irina takes the file to the skin and never touches the plate, and the shape is built on your own nail — which is in plain sight the whole appointment.
They said you can catch something.
Every instrument is bagged and put through three stages of hospital-grade sterilisation, and the pouch is opened in front of you. If a pouch is already open when you sit down, in any salon, ask for another one.
They said it only works with a properly trained tech.
That part is entirely true, which is why her credentials are the first thing on this page. Irina holds the United Beauty Award for best studio, competes at Nailympia and judges other people's work at the International Beauty Championship.
The rules here are simple: the living skin stays, the plate is never filed, and nobody leaves this chair cut or sore.
Plenty of the hands Irina works on arrive thinned, sore at the edges or hidden under an overlay someone applied to cover it. That is the ordinary week here.
It is the same appointment at the same price; it simply takes longer. You book what you wanted, and the price is the price on this page.
Some of it will have to grow out, and she will say which part while you are still deciding rather than after you have paid.
What we do

Manicure
Opened dry with an e-file rather than soaked and clipped, so the colour sits flush against the skin and the line stays clean as the nail grows.
from $85

Pedicure
Built for feet that get used. Calluses, cracks and thickened skin are treated at the root rather than filed away for a week — then finished as carefully as a manicure.
Irina works the advanced technique and two methods of her own — Russian Advanced Pedicure and Advanced Pedicure PRO — built for feet that stay comfortable, not just for feet that look good the same evening. Precise cuticle work, safe nail architecture and real answers to cracked heels, corns and calluses, using professional Israeli cosmetics.
from $100

Nail art
Lace, chrome, French tips, hand-painted detail — the same work Irina takes to competition, sized down to something you can type, cook and live with.
from $135

The master
Irina has been doing nails for more than five years and takes every appointment herself. She works on natural nails: the file goes over the dead skin around the nail, the plate is left alone, and the shape is built on the nail you already have.
Instruments are sterilised in a hospital-grade autoclave and come out of a sealed pouch at your table; the studio is state-inspected. She has won at Nailympia and judges at the International Beauty Championship. The same hands do an ordinary Tuesday appointment.
Speaks Russian and English
We start by looking at your nails and skin, reading their condition, and asking what you want from this visit. Every service is built around that — your nails, your skin, what you actually need.
Files and abrasives are single-use, and every instrument is sterilised and kept in a sealed pouch. The pouch is opened in front of you when your service begins.
Every service has its own appointment time so the work is never rushed; the estimate is shown when you book, and your visit may take less. Different skin and different conditions call for different techniques, and we choose the one that suits you. Every manicure and pedicure here is done dry, with no soaking.
The price shown when you book is the full price of that service, and your deposit comes off the total. If your nails need work beyond what you booked, we explain it and name the price first — nothing extra is done or charged without your yes.
Reviews
My Russian manicure was flawless — super clean cuticles, perfect shape, and amazing attention to detail. The salon is spotless and relaxing. You can tell Iris genuinely takes pride in her craft.
My nails always look amazing and last beyond 4 weeks. Her salon is very clean and professional. This was my first experience with a Russian manicure and I LOVE it.
She absolutely nailed my Russian manicure — my cuticles have never looked this clean and flawless. The attention to detail was next level, and you can tell she takes real pride in her work.
The work. Every set leaves this chair at the standard she is judged by at competition, and if something about it is wrong, she puts it right.
What is not guaranteed is how many weeks it lasts, and you should be suspicious of anyone who promises you that. It depends on your hands, your job and your week. Most people get three to four weeks. Irina will tell you honestly what to expect from your nails rather than quote you a number from a price list.
Booking
Pick a service, a day and a time. The deposit holds your slot and comes straight off the bill. Move or cancel up to 24 hours before and it follows you, so you can book early and still change your mind.
Not sure yet? Send a photo of your nails and Irina will tell you what she would do with them. Send a photo
It should not, and if it does, that is information. You feel pressure and warmth around the nail rather than on it. Say something the moment you feel any and the work stops.
It is true of a file used carelessly, and there is a lot of that around. The damage people describe comes from filing the plate and from removing the living seal at the base of the nail. Neither is done here, which is why the section above exists on this page and not on anyone else's.
Only as often as your nails grow. The living skin is left alone, so there is nothing on the nail that needs keeping up. Most people come every three to four weeks, when the regrowth starts to show.
One to three hours for a single service, and up to four for a manicure and pedicure together; the time is on every line of the price list. This work takes as long as it takes, and a salon offering a Russian manicure in forty minutes is offering something else.
Bring them in. It is an ordinary appointment at the ordinary price, it simply takes longer. Send a photo first if you would rather settle it before you arrive, and Irina will tell you what can be done now and what has to grow out.
No, and nobody honestly can. Wear depends on your hands and what you do with them. What is guaranteed is the work itself: if something about it is not right, Irina puts it right. Most people get three to four weeks.
Yes. The figure next to each service is the whole figure, and the deposit you leave when booking comes off it. If anything else would help your nails, Irina names it and prices it first and waits for you to agree.
